TRIPLE C x #Mahjong

Always wanted to learn how to play mahjong? And no, we don’t mean the matching game from your desktop.

Mahjong is a Chinese heritage tile game built around skill, strategy and a little bit of luck. On September 19th, Lily will introduce us to Hong Kong-style mahjong, one of the most widely played variations within Chinese communities.

But this afternoon is about more than learning the rules. Along the way, Lily will share the history and traditions behind the game, family stories and even a few warnings for cheaters — introducing mahjong in a genuine, respectful and fun way.

Beginners Class · 11:30–14:30

Never played before? Start here. You’ll learn the basics and everything you need to start playing your first games.

Practice Round · 15:00–17:00

Already know the basics? Pull up a chair, play a few rounds and build your confidence. Because the best way to really learn mahjong is simply to keep playing.

And if all that strategizing makes you hungry, our café will be open for drinks, matcha and bites throughout the day.
