Carl Holman - NIO FAR, book launch & exhibition

NIO FAR, meaning “We are together” in Wolof, is a personal exploration of sport, connection and the ocean in Dakar, Senegal by photographer Carl Holman.

Developed through Carl’s own time in Dakar, the book brings together photography with texts drawn from conversations with local surfers. Through their stories and his own experiences, NIO FAR looks at the relationships formed around the ocean, the role of surfing in the city and the people and places that shape its culture.

On October 15, an exhibition of the work will be on view throughout the afternoon, followed by the official book launch with a short film screening, speeches and books available for purchase.
